What is personal training all about?
Personal training offered at Freeman's Fitness is all about the individual.
We start by getting CLEAR on what it is you want to achieve. Is it weight loss, gaining strength or gaining muscle size? Once we have this clear we can move onto understanding the reasons behind why you want to achieve it.
Together we will look at barriers that may have prevented you from achieving your fitness goals in the past and ensure we have solutions to manage these problems BEFORE they arise!
Once we have worked through this, Daniel will talk you through what action plan we are going to work towards together to ensure you reach those goals. For some this will be two training sessions each week and some dietary adjustments, for others it might be four sessions a week. All training programs are specific to the individual as we all have different training needs and goals.
This action plan will not just address exercise. We will be looking at your entire lifestyle such as your diet, sleep, family, work, stress etc to ensure that you are covering all aspects of your health and getting to the goal that you want to achieve.
Personal training sessions are conducted in the Freeman's Fitness private studio located in Hornsby. This means no waiting around for equipment or having to be in a crowded gym environment.
Personal training involves training with 4-5 people together. This is the most popular and affordable way to train and actually encourages more performance in the small group environment!
All training programs are 100% individual with this style of training.
What does a 'training session' look like?
An average training session lasts from 45-60 minutes.
There will be a brief warm-up period to get the muscles, body and mind ready for the workout.
Following this we will work through 4-8 different exercises throughout the session ensuring correct technique and progression is being used. This is followed by a brief cool-down period.
Each session will look a little different depending on your specific training program.
Dietary Adjustment
The majority of clients at Freeman's Fitness track their daily diet so that it can be reviewed regularly by Daniel.
Without dietary changes most people will struggle to reach the fitness goals they have set out to achieve.
All dietary change is done within the 'real world' in understanding that not everybody can eat the 'perfect' diet 100% of the time. It is much less about perfection than it is consistency and improvement over time.
Freeman's Fitness does NOT write you 'meal plans'. We look at what you are currently eating and work out in consultation with you what changes you can make to your diet and suggest what you need to replace in order to improve your health.
Ongoing Education
All clients of Freeman's Fitness receive ongoing education about health and fitness both throughout training sessions and through access to online educational materials and courses.
We want to give you enough education on fitness and health so that you are able to get the most out of working with us and achieve fitness results that you never thought possible!
